Kelly Williams is an award winning jeweler, engraver, and educator whose work bridges traditional bench craftsmanship and modern digital design. She earned her degree in Fine Art from Edison State in 1995 and went on to study at several of the leading jewelry trade schools in the United States. Kelly is the sole proprietor of K. W. Goldsmith, a full service custom trade shop, and Whiplash Designs, a distinctive line of western and horse themed jewelry known for hand engraving and strong sculptural character.

Kelly is a two time overall winner of the Bench Pressure Challenge at The Smart Jewelry Show and has received numerous design and engraving awards throughout her career. Her western hand engraving is featured in galleries across the American Southwest. In addition to her studio work, she is a respected educator, regularly teaching bench techniques, CAD, and design workflow at industry events and the Stuller Bench Jeweler Workshops. She has also presented for the Society of North American Goldsmiths and other professional forums.

After serving 10 years on the Women's Jewelry Association Twin Cities board, including terms as Vice President, President and Treasurer, Kelly has recently stepped down to focus on her business. She is known for her ability to translate complex tools and processes into practical, bench friendly approaches that help jewelers produce stronger, more organic work while maintaining efficiency and control.
