Choreographing Your Shop for Speed and Control

We will talk about removing steps wherever possible, preloading materials at startup, using tracking tools that people will actually use, and putting the right computer access in the shop so information is not stuck at the counter. We will also address the small daily frustrations that eat time and attention, and how to fix them in ways that add up over a year.

We will run the numbers together. How long does a task really take. What is an hour of your bench time worth. What does a repeated inefficiency cost you over twelve months. When does it make sense to invest in equipment or tooling to remove that cost for good.

Along the way, we will look at practical examples, including production tracking sheets, shared note systems, smarter laser use, refinements in sweat soldering, rotary tumblers, sandblasters, and simple cleanup improvements that save real time.
